This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents whose personal information is collected by Astro Ventures LLC d/b/a BatchBook ("BatchBook," "we," "us," or "our"). This notice describes the categories of personal information we collect, our purposes for collecting it, and the rights available to you under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: Name, email address, IP address, account username
- Commercial information: Subscription plan, payment history, transaction records
- Internet or electronic network activity: Browser type, operating system, pages visited, features used, interaction data
- Professional or employment-related information: Organization name (if provided during account setup)
- Inferences: Scheduling preferences and usage patterns derived from your use of the service
How We Collect Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you: When you create an account, set up scheduling events, or contact support
- From your respondents: When people submit their availability through your scheduling links
- Automatically: Through cookies, server logs, and analytics when you use the service
- From service providers: Payment confirmation from Stripe, authentication data from Supabase
Purposes for Collection
We collect and use personal information for the following business purposes:
- Providing, maintaining, and improving the BatchBook service
- Processing transactions and sending transactional communications
- Responding to your requests and providing customer support
- Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Complying with legal obligations
- Analyzing usage to improve our product
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
Disclosure to Service Providers
We disclose personal information to the following categories of service providers for business purposes:
- Cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) -- hosting, database, and authentication
- Payment processors (Stripe) -- subscription billing and payment processing
- Email delivery services (Resend) -- transactional email delivery
Each service provider is contractually obligated to use your personal information only for the specific purposes of providing their services to us.
Your California Privacy Rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal compliance, completing transactions).
- Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: If we were to collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the service, you would have the right to limit its use. Currently, we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. As noted above, we do not sell or share your personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. You will not receive different pricing, quality of service, or access to features as a result of exercising your rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a verifiable consumer request by:

We will verify your identity before processing your request by confirming information associated with your account. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, provided the agent has your written permission and we can verify your identity.
We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days of receipt. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it, up to a maximum of ninety (90) days total.
Data Retention
We retain each category of personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as described above. Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required by law.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this California Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website at least thirty (30) days before taking effect.
